Installation

You can choose from the following installation modes:

Clean Install

  1. Installs a fresh version of the plugin (e.g., v5.#.#).
  2. Enables the “Library Destination” option.

Update Only

  1. Updates your existing version of the plugin.
  2. Does not allow changing the Library path.

Library Destination (Available only with Clean Install)

  1. Specify the location of the Nexus Library here.
  2.  Example: /Users/YourName/Documents/Nexus Library/

  10. I replaced all the files in C:\Users\Public\Documents\reFX\NEXUS tags.csv
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\reFX\cloud\cache\images N5_Factory_Presets.svg but no library in the nexus found,help please

    1. Install Nexus 5.

      From the Nexus 5 Content folder :

      1. Copy the NEXUS tags.csv file and insert the “C:\users\Public\Documents\reFX” folder.
      2. Copy N5_Factory_Preshets.svg and insert it into the “C:\Users\Your username\AppData\Roaming\reFX\cloud\clache\images”.
      3. Copy the NKS-Presets-Samples folder to your old Nexus library!

      If you are a new Nexus user and you do not have previously released Nexus 4 libraries, just specify the folder location
      “Nexus 5 Content” folder included in this distribution during the installation of the Nexus

      You can also change the location of the Content folder by editing Settings.json in “C:\Users\Public\Documents\reFX\NEXUS”
      (Using a text document to edit)

      1. Example of editing the line : library_folder”: “F:\\Nexus 5 Factory Content Library\\Nexus 5 Content”

      Use a double reverse \\ slash between the splits of the folders.

      Execute este arquivo como administrador onde a pasta NEXUS LIBRARY está localizada

      Caso você também esteja enfrentando problemas de não ouvir a visualização do som dentro do nexus, basta copiar a pasta NKS dentro da pasta NEXUS LIBRARY.

      Esta pasta NKS não está contida neste link que enviei, mas geralmente vem com o arquivo baixado, ou fácil de encontrar na rede.

    1. Maybe you didn't do the directions quite right. By the way, not all expansions have been cracked. But the vast majority do. If you place your Nexus library on an external drive, you can apply the update script that 
Rildo Correia (above in the comments) has indicated. Download it, place it in your Nexus library folder. Double click and the json settings will automatically be adjusted to the location of your Nexus library folder.

        1. Not expansions i mean,but some old presets from Nexus 4 really ask for license. Everything is installed correctly.I was randomly testing . But other than that it works fine.

  20. what a waste of time effort engry and storage space doesnt work library doesnt come loaded up. changed the location in the json folder doesnt work either i have a preset with no presets after a day of trying. terrible.

      Odd that you made changes to the.json when you have a perfectly good library location tool included..

    1. im having the same problem. Followed instructions exactly, the .json matches the path for presets, i tried pasting a preset into different folders when at first it displayed 0. the when i got a preset to appear i clicked, double clicked,right clicked, pressed arrows, pressed 6 on that and nothing switched it off of saw init.

      if this copy worked before, it doesnt now. The log displays errors in the vst itself.

  29. It worked for me! But some files need to be modified, as some expansions become folders.

    On the other hand, some expansions are missing some files in the sample folder, for example, “THE SOUND OF 90 FOLDER,” where the SQ AMERICA NATIVE file is missing, only its launcher, which is in the PRESET.

    I just hope this expansion, along with the others that are missing some files, are fixed and the full version is complete.

    From the Nexus 5 Content folder :

    2. I did a clean install (i didnt have previous versions)
      Moved the library to another drive
      Selected it in the install process
      The path is correct in the json
      But no library is showing (in ableton 12)
      What am i doing wrong?

  37. version 5.3.7 was super fast to be cracked, however the latest version takes time to be cracked, what’s going on?

    1.  I recommend performing a clean install. This way, you can specify where you want to place the library from the start. Uninstall Nexus with Revo. Place your Nexus library somewhere on e.g an external drive. Now start the Nexus installation. You’ll be asked where you want the library to be located. Navigate to the Nexus library folder on your external drive. Double Click on it and continue with the installation. When you then start Nexus, it will immediately find the library.

    2. There’s also an .exe file called : update_nexus_library_location.exe.
      If you have one, place it in your Nexus library folder and double-click it. It will then immediately update the location in your Nexus settings. (JSON)

      1. It’s version 4, and even though I followed the video, installed version 5, etc., it doesn’t work because it keeps asking me for a cloud password. I’ve tried every trick.

  44. Loads fine. It plays the initial default sound. I load a sound, try to play it and Nexus crashes every time, regardless of factory content or third party expansions.

    This is the first time I have had this. Very sad, as this synth is a beast.

  51. I’m using nexus 5.3.22 version with library but now new version released 5.5.12, which has mentioned new factory content, is there any way to download the only missing factory content. And any ways to find what contents are missing?

  52. It works perfectly! The great thing is that it updates you if you have an older version, and it also allows for a clean install.

    Anyway, thanks. I hope other plugins, VSTs, or libraries from well-known companies have already been posted.
