The Space Station UM282 is a faithful reproduction of the Ursa Major Space Station SST-282 echo and reverb module from the late 1970s.
Unlike other reverb simulators of the time, the Space Station used delay techniques to transform a monophonic signal into a new stereo signal with a reverb effect.
While traditional delay devices of the past had only one or two taps, the Space Station has many: eight taps are used for listening, and the rest are used for reverb synthesis.
- Single multi-channel delay line
- 8 tone controls
- 16 tone delay programs
- Delay time up to 255 ms (increasable to 2.55 s)
- Reverberation time up to 3.5 sec
- Reduced bandwidth (20 Hz – 7 kHz)
- Echo synchronization
- Full stereo mode
- Echo only mode
- Increased latency
- Ducking
- Resizable interface
