That rich air around the vocals. A silky sheen that makes you lean in. Some studio techniques stick in the memory for a reason.
Based on a specially modified Type-A unit created in the studio of a Swedish songwriter, the A-Class Vocal brings legendary studio technique to your modern workflow. Its unique blend of timbre, harmonics, and dynamics gives vocals a gorgeous, open top end that EQ alone can’t provide, and allows guitars, drums, and synths to shine.
Connect it. Then try mixing without it.
In 1966, they were misused. Since then, they’ve become iconic. Long before plug-ins, engineers discovered a wonderful side effect of vintage Type-A noise-canceling equipment: when used creatively, it can impart a luxurious, ethereal quality to recordings.
It’s not just brighter. By using a coding stage without subsequent signal decoding, engineers have transformed noise reduction into a unique sound enhancement technology. The combination of timbre, harmonics, and dynamics lifts high notes, adding airiness and presence, making it a favorite tool for vocals.
A-Class Vocal captures this character using a modified hardware device created in the studio of a Swedish songwriter. Classic sound without the vintage ritual.
