MAP Audio – Rhino3 v1.3.3 for WiN

Six oscillators per voice with FM sources, additive sources and wavetables, two multimodal filters, envelopes, FM routing matrix, step sequencer and four effects slots.

The engine

The sources are mixed within a single voice: a pair of frequency modulators can be placed next to the drawn spectrum, and both are passed through the same filters and envelopes.

Six oscillators, a full matrix of frequency modulator (FM)

inputs. Each voice employs six oscillators. The source can be one of the built-in waveforms or one of six wavetables, which you draw in the additive editor or create from WAV data. Any oscillator can frequency modulate any other oscillator, including itself, with exponential or linear scaling, and two ring modulators accept any combination of oscillators as input. Each oscillator has its own waveform generator.

Two filters, 26 modes

low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and notch with cutoff frequencies of 12, 24, and 36 dB per octave. Three analog low-pass and high-pass filter models, as well as comb, band-pass, diode, transistor ladder, Sallen-Key, and SEM filters. Each generator sends a signal to filter 1, filter 2, and the dry bus in any mix. Each filter can feed a signal to another, and each filter circuit contains a waveform shaper.

Envelopes you draw

Thirty-one of them: level, waveform, pitch, and phase for each oscillator, cutoff, resonance, and waveform for each filter, plus a global pitch envelope. Up to 128 segments in each, with curvature, repeat range, and tempo sync. A separate curve is provided for keyboard tracking, velocity sensitivity, and aftertouch.

Effects

Four effect slots with 24 types: two delays, six choruses, three ensembles, flanger, quad phaser, four reverbs, granulator, CrazyComb, autopan, rotary speaker, ring modulation, overdrive and a three-band EQ.

If you have forgotten the optional password set in the TEAM R2R System software (used to encrypt your user data when opening .r2rwm files via WitchWand / WitchMagic), you can reset it by deleting the corresponding registry key in Windows.

Resetting the password via Registry Editor

TEAM R2R’s official instruction for recovering a forgotten password involves manually deleting the key from the Windows Registry:
1. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the ‘Run’ dialog box.
2. Type regedit and press Enter to launch the Registry Editor.
3. In the left-hand column, navigate to the following path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TEAM R2R\R2R System\User Info
4. Delete the registry key (or the specific values within it) located in this folder.
Once this folder or value has been removed, the encryption is lifted. You can now reopen WitchConfig.exe (found by default at C:\Program Files\TEAM R2R\R2R System) to enter your user details and, if desired, set a new password.

Alternative: Full Reinstallation

If modifying the registry does not work immediately, you can perform a completely clean installation:
• Uninstall the R2R System via the Windows Control Panel.
• Restart your computer.
• Reinstall the latest version of R2R System v1.5.3.exe. Leave the password field blank during configuration if you do not require additional registry encryption.
